What is Japonica Rice?
Japonica rice or Sinica rice is a type of short rice in the land of the rising sun. This is one of the two main types of rice in Asia, widely consumed in Japan, Korea, China, and Taiwan. In Japan, people generally prescribe white rice varieties called Japonica.
Origin of Japonica rice
Japonica rice originated in Japan. Many years ago, Japanese Japonica rice was officially introduced in Vietnam, a country with a continuously growing economy and stable politics. In Vietnam, Japonica rice has been grown a lot in Dong Thap and An Giang provinces since 2015.
