Characteristics of cinnamon tree
Cinnamon is a woody tree, about 10-20m high, with smooth bark. Cinnamon leaves alternate, with short stalks, easily broken, pointed or slightly obtuse ends, with 3 arched veins on the underside, the upper surface of the leaf is dark green, glossy. Cinnamon flowers grow in clusters, axillary or tops, branches, white flowers. The fruit is purple-brown, ovate, and smooth. Flowers usually bloom from June to August, and fruits are available from October to March of the following year.
Medicinal properties
Medicinal herbs are curled, tubular, about 1.5 - 5 cm in diameter, 25 - 40 cm long or in the form of a curved piece, about 3 - 5 cm wide. The outer surface of the medicinal plant is gray-brown, the inner surface is reddish-brown or dark brown, brittle, easily broken, with few fibers. Medicinal herbs have a strong aroma, spicy and sweet taste, after soaking in water, the section of the cross section reveals the ivory-white hard tissue ring.
